The Beaconsfield Society supports and promotes activities that enhance the richness of opportunity for the people who live in Beaconsfield and make the most of the town.
Located between London and the Chiltern Hills, Beaconsfield is an attractive centre with an historic Old Town and thriving New Town. It is surrounded by green belt including ancient woodland, nature reserve and meadows.
Served by excellent road, rail and air links**, Beaconsfield has a prosperous commercial sector, with good shopping facilities, regular markets and a comprehensive selection of cafes, restaurants and public houses.
The town is supported by excellent public services and offers outstanding educational opportunities for young people.
There is a wide selection of sports clubs, leisure facilities, cultural organisations, churches and community groups.
Each year the town holds a May Fair on May 10 and a Festival of Lights Parade at Christmas. Awareness Day held annually in June on The Green, organised by the Beaconsfield Society, brings together over fifty local charities, voluntary groups and clubs at a forum to publicise their activities.
The town has a dedicated Town Council and committed parliamentary representation. It is administrated by South Bucks District Council and Bucks County Council.
